Jesse Lee Daniel, 96, of Mesquite, TX passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 29,2017 inPlano,TX. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 23rd at 10:00AM at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, TX. Jessewas born in Forney, TXto the late Jesse Lee Daniel Sr. and Mary Myrtle Burden Danielon June 19,1921 He went to school at Rockwall High. He married the late Thelma Calhoun Clapp on Dec 3,1945 in Palestine, TX.They lived together in Dallas, TX until 1986. He married the Lee Hadley in 1987 and they lived in the Crazy Water Hotel a retirement center in Mineral Wellsuntil her death in 1992.He married Lucille Daniel and lived in Fort Worth until her death in 2000. He moved to Mesquite and lived with his daughter and her husband until, he met Lou Hill while out walking one day.They became close companions sharing each other’s life for 10 years before his dementia became so bad that he had to be placed in a hospice care facility.He worked for Proctor and Gamble for 40 years.He was a veteran of WW2 and served in the Navy as an Aviation Radioman, Third Class from 1942 to 1945.He was a member of Long Creek Baptist Church in Sunnyvale, TX. Jesse is alsopreceded in death by his sonRobert Daniel, his brother Roy Thomas Daniel, sister May Boshears, brother James F. Daniel,two great grandchildren Mark Robert Daniel and Michele Yates. Jesseis survived by his daughter Donna Yatesand her husband Joseph of Mesquite, TX, Grandson Chris Yates of Mesquite,TX,Grandaughter Kim Britton and her husband of Mesquite, TX,Great GrandsonDustin Yates and his wife KC of Tyler, TX,Great Daughters Rachel Britton, Emily Britton, Melissa Yates, and Felicity Britton.
