He was preceded in death by son Craig Alan Nichols,parents Mr. And Mrs. Rufus Nichols, and in laws Mr. & Mrs.Roy Bader. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jeanette Nichols, sons Richard Nichols, Kenneth Nichols & wife Brande Nichols, all residing in Forney,Texas, sister Betty Jean
Hearn of Charleston, Arkansas, grandsons Tyler Nichols & wife Stephanie, Nathan Todd Nichols, Mason Nichols, Dylon Nichols, Ronin Nichols, Tyler Pruitt and Parker
Pruitt, and 7 great - grandchildren, 2 nieces and several great nieces and nephews. Jerry served in the USAF and was stationed at Barksdale AFB in Bossier City, Louisiana. While stationed there he
attended Barksdale Baptist Church where he met Jeanette. After he was discharged from the service he went to work for a bank in Shreveport where he began his career in data processing. After moving to Texas he attended and graduated from Dallas Baptist College (University.) He
was not only a student but managed their computer department. When asked about college he always said that he "crammed" 4 years into 19! He continued his love for computers as a contract
computer programmer upon graduation from college. He was active in Texas Baptist Men and served as Vice President in Church Renewal and Men's Ministry. Jerry and Jeanette are members of Central Baptist Church in Crandall, Texas.
