Jerry Dwain Everett May 6, 1944 – February 14, 2018 Jerry Dwain Everett, age 73, passed away peacefully at his home in Forney, Texas, surrounded by family on February 14, 2018. Jerry was born in Limestone County, Texas, and raised in Mexia, Texas, to J.C. and Ruth Everett. Jerry met his wife, Sharon Hurley, in 1976, at Dallas, Texas, where they worked together at Dallas Power and Light Company (now known as Oncor).They married on June 30, 1979. Together they both raised two sons, Chad and J.B. Prior to their marriage, Jerry had a daughter, Deanne, son,Gerald, and son, Jerry II, born from previous marriages. Jerry worked for Dallas Power and Light Company (aka TXU/Oncor) for many years as a lineman and a foreman.He retired in 1999. After a brief vacation, he was hired as a consultant to Oncor. He was diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer in 2005.After a bone marrow transplant in 2006, he remained in remission until 2012. He began treatment again and has been on and off in remission since. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Hurley Everett; daughter, Deanne Everett Walker and son-in-law, Mark Walker, son, Gerald Everett and daughter-in-law, Donna; son, Chad Everett; and son, John Bradley Everett. He is also survived by grandchildren, Anna, Joseph, Erika, and Nikki.Jerry has two great grandsons, Riley and Brandon.He is also survived by his sister, Doris Everett Pope.He is preceded in death by his son, Jerry Dwain Everett II; and grandson, Corey,
