Jerry Coffman

February 21, 1961 — March 12, 2025

Jerry Ray Coffman, Jr. of Mesquite, Texas went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, and "Pa". He was born February 21, 1961, in Dallas, Texas to Betty and Jerry Coffman, Sr.

Jerry was a hard-working, family man who loved the Lord; after family meals, you could find him playing with his grandkids in the playroom, and he always had candy to share with them. He cared for people immensely. He also deeply cared for animals like his shop cats, his shop dogs, his grand dogs, and Reveille of Texas A&M. Jerry enjoyed going to the State Fair of Texas and Port Aransas with his family; he also loved to work on his motorcycles and his Volkswagens.

Jerry was an incredibly talented welder that loved his work, and he was a perfectionist at everything he did. He could build anything, and he did so with great care; he was truly an artist of his craft. He worked for Forney Engineering, Medco Construction, and in 2006 he started his own company, Coffman Welding.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kim; his son and daughter in law, Ben and Courtney Coffman; his son and daughter in law, Justin and Marlo Coffman; his five grandchildren, Joe, Jeff, Jacy, Jack and Jesse; his mother, Betty Coffman; his sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Bobby Johnson; his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Darrell Babbit; and his brother, Donald Coffman. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Ray Coffman, Sr.
