Jeffrey Charles Reese, born April 12,1961 in Abilene, Texas and passed away as God called him home on October 3, 2002 after a lengthy battle with a malignant brain tumor. Jeff was an active member of First Baptist Church of Sunnyvale, Texas where he co-taught 7th grade boys in the "All Things Youth Ministry". He was an adoring Husband to his wife, Debbie and a loving father to both his daughters, Katie and Kandi. A graduate of Skyline High School in 1980, he went on to receive an associates degree from Richland College and attended numerous trade school courses in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. He was employed by Jones Lang Lasalle as a Building Engineer at the Plaza in Los Colinas where he leaves behind a host of friends who will miss him terribly. Fondly named, "Big 'en" by his Chief Engineer because of his strength, endurance, and stamina. Jeff was well loved by the tenants at the Plaza. Also employed part-time with Central Parking at Reunion Arena and later at the American Airlines Center. Jeff loved working the Stars, Mavericks and Sidekicks games, but mostly meeting new people. He never met a stranger. Jeff's favorite saying that he said every morning and night to his wife was, "I love you today!" which he displayed every day of his life. A dedicated father, he enjoyed more than anything to watch his daughters grow up and jokingly say that he would have to "fight the boys off some day." He was an avid "soccer dad" and enjoyed watching both of his girls play. Jeff is survived by his wife, Debbie Reese of 18 years, daughter Katherine Elizabeth Reese and daughter Kandace Alexander Reese, and a blessing from God in his "God Daughter" Brittni Ann Whitaker. Also survived by:his father and step-mother Jack and Carol Reese, mother Beth Yager, grand-father Leslie Reese, God-parents Glenn and Marinell Martin of Rockwall, Texas, sister Corbett Elizabeth Reese, step-sister Sondra Townsend and her husband Dave, step-sister Lisa Morgan. Favorite son-in-law of his father-in-law and mother-in-law Eldon and Joyce Sumners of Rockwall, Texas, and the late Martha Sumners of Irving. Also survived by Sister(s)-in-law Dorothy Place of Round Rock, Texas, Charlotte Grindele of Mesquite, Texas, Donna Michaels and husband Greg of Sachse, Texas, Brother(s)-in-law David Grindele and wife Glenda of Mesquite, Texas and Johnny Sumners and wife Karen of Maryland. He leaves behind numerous neices and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and our beloved church family from First Baptist Sunnyvale. He is proceeded in death by his beloved grandmothers, Neva Mae Reese and Helen Elizabeth Yager, and grandfather Bill Yager. He will truly be missed by his two favorite Chocolate Laborador Retrievers Mika Rae and Max. He touched the lives of many, and will most be remembered for his unshakeable faith in God, to find good in people and circumstances, his love of family and friends, generosity, thirst for knowledge, and courage. The family will receive friends onSunday, October 6 from 7pm to 9pm. Interment at Grove Hill Cemetery.
