Janet Ruth Bowling

Janet Ruth Cook Bowling, 62 of Frisco, TX died Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Memorial Services will be at St Philips Episcopal Church in Frisco on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 3 PM. Janet was born in Phillips, Texas at Phillips Hospital in 1946 to Dorothy Pauline Holt Tompkins and Leroy Jasper Cook. She was active in her church, a member of the band and her class favorite throughout her early years. She married the love of her life, Kerry, on May 30, 1965 and was married for almost 41 years until his passing. She served as a volunteer manager of T Bar M " Amarillo and was co " owner of Medic Rents in Amarillo for almost 30 years. She was an avid tennis player, volunteer, great friend and devoted mother and wife. She relished watching her children and family frolicking in the waters at the Caribbean. Her happiest moments were taking pictures of her grandchildrens footprints in the sand. Her family will always remember her singing a Bee Gee song on a beach at sunset. Survivors include a son, Shay Bowling and wife Christi of Amarillo; a daughter, Ashley Winkler and husband Steve of Frisco; a brother, Dick Cook and wife Wanda of Justin; five grandchildren, Joshua, Courtney, Tate, Nolan and Victoria; and numerous nieces and nephews
