James David Witherspoon,

October 23, 1943 — October 13, 2010

JD was born October 23, 1943 to Minne King and James Witherspoon. He grew up in the Dallas area where he owned several businesses including car lots, dry wall companies, wrecking yards. While running these businesses he also drove a truck for Teamsters Union which he retired from after 33 years. His hobbies included fishing, farming, hay bailing, drinking coffee with his friends at Liars Corner (Starbucks Cap City) and 3 card poker. He loved getting away to the boats with his wife and some friends and family. Preceded in death by parents, James Witherspoon & Minnie McDaniel; daughter, Katrina Franks; Grandsons, James David Witherspoon III & Keith Allen Witherspoon. Survived by Wife, Neta Jo Witherspoon and Baby Girl (dog) Sisters, Darlene Phipher & Evelyn Rangel Children, David Witherspoon, Mark Witherspoon, Robert Witherspoon, Steven Witherspoon, Ricky Witherspoon; step-son, Ronnie Horton Grandchildren, Crystal Paris, David Witherspoon, Jr., Kandace Dotson, Krystal Dotson, Kendell Dotson, Jeremy Boone, Joshua Witherspoon, Britney Witherspoon, Mathew Witherspoon, Ricki Baker, Brandon Witherspoon, Garrett Witherspoon, Vanessa Witherspoon, Zakary Witherspoon, Aubree Witherspoon, Kelsee Witherspoon, Lauren Coats, Jeremy Riner & Cassie Franks Great grandchildren, Rusty Paris, Ryder Paris & Ian Witherspoon A number of cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends Service will be 2:00PM Monday October 18, 2010 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 1:00PM " 3:00PM.
