James Taylor

July 9, 1956 — October 18, 2023

Forney

First Sergeant James William Taylor, affectionately known as Jim, passed away suddenly on October 18, 2023 at the age of 67 in Heartland, Texas. After a distinguished military career followed by a medical management career, Jim retired, spent more time with family, golfing and the love of his life, Carol Taylor. Although their time together was cut short, Jim and Carol spent every moment thankful they found each other. The couple relocated to Heartland, Texas in 2022, where Jim enjoyed the weather and relaxing on his back porch. Jim is survived by his wife, Carol; siblings, Ally (Reed) Holub and David (Marty) Taylor; children, Kevin (Alysse), Brian, Jason (Heather), Megan (Danny) Zornes, Mike (Brizajia) Anderson, KC (James) Wagner and Brian (Tara) Doherty; and grandchildren, Lily, Cecelia, Carson, and Everett and many nieces and nephews.

Jim loved Jesus, his wife, family, his country, music, and golf. Jim's love transcended biological ties and was offered generously to all who knew him. Knowing Jim was knowing a father's love, and this love is unforgettable. In lieu of flowers, let's celebrate and remember Jim by sharing his love with all. The celebration of Jim's life will be held at Elim Evangelical Church, 9421 128th St. E, Puyallup, WA 98373, June 22 @10:00am.
