James E. Sebastian

James E. Sebastian went to be with our Lord on September 26th, 2015 at age 74. He was born to William Cecil and Artie E. (Price) Sebastian in Blue Ridge, Texas on February 26, 1941. He married Scelena (Poteet) October 13th, 1973. She lives in Mesquite, Texas. James was an electrician for 33 years in the Dallas Independent School District; he retired August 8th, 2001 and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas. Preceded in death by: both mother and father, Cecil and Evelyn, also brother Maury Ted and granddaughter Dixie R. Sebastian. Survived by: wife, Scelena Sebastian, son, Bennie Poteet and wife Tempie of Mesquite; son, Marvin J. Sebastian and wife Cynthia of Garland; son, Jarrod D. Sebastian and wife Natasha of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Melisa Harper and husband, Danny of Mesquite; son, Brett Poteet and wife Dana; Colorado Springs, CO, two sisters, Shirley Harris of Van and Linda and husband Charles Decker of Kaufman and sister-in-law, Billie R. Sebastian of Carrolton. Grandchildren, Bennie “Trey” and Jean-Chance Poteet, Donnie and Dorrie Sebastian and Eunice McTiller, Ian, Isaac, and Isaiah Sebastian, Nicole and Drew Hohenberger, Allisa and Justin Nicholson, and Rebecca Harper, and Aaron Poteet, Cedric and Kay Lacy, Yolanda Lacy, Jesse Pettis, II. Great-Grandchildren: Angel McTiller, Dyiani Brown, J.W. “Bubba” Hohenberger, J.C., Aeris and Amaya Lacy, and Imani Caldwell. And numerous nieces, nephews and long time friends.
