James Lynwood Schell

James Lynwood Schell age 84, of Forney, TX, passed away April 5, 2020. He was born January 31, 1936 in Dallas, TX to Fred Schell and Wilna Moore Schell. Lynwood was a Route Man for the Dr. Pepper bottling company. He married Barbara Ann Thrower on July 6, 1957 in Durant, OK. He attended Community Life church in Forney, TX. He was a member of James Ladd Burgess Masonic Lodge and Dallas Scottish Rite. His favorite things to do were baking and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents. Lynwood is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara; children, Cindy Baker and husband Jack of Kaufman, TX and Elayne Johnson and husband Dale of Forney, TX; grandchildren, Lesley Edwards and husband Nick of Forney, TX and Lisa Sutton and husband Tommy of Kaufman, TX.; great-grandchildren, Makaela, Alyson and Brooke Edwards of Forney, TX and David Goode of Kaufman, TX; brothers Roland Schell of Mesquite, TX and Edwin Schell and wife Linda of Terrell, TX. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of New Hope Funeral Home.
