James Clifton "Cliff" Green, born on August 13, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, peacefully passed away on March 25, 2025, in Sunnyvale, Texas, at the age of 72. A dedicated Fire System Inspector in the fire protection systems industry, Cliff dedicated his career to ensuring the safety of countless lives and properties. After retiring, he enjoyed a cherished life filled with family and music.

Cliff was a proud veteran of the United States Marines, and his service reflected his commitment to the values of honor and duty. Beyond his professional achievements, he was deeply passionate about music, showcasing his extraordinary talent as a guitar player. Many fond memories were made within the walls of his home, where he created joyful moments surrounded by his sons, Matt and Brad, and his beloved granddaughters, Natalie, Emma, Olivia, and Avery. Together, they shared the gift of music that brought light and happiness to their lives.

An active member of his church, Cliff frequently played and sang, spreading joy to his community. His love for music was a defining aspect of his life, embodying the warmth and spirit he shared with everyone around him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and creativity that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Cliff joined Brooklyn Masonic Lodge #386 in 1987, where he holds the honor of two time past master. At the time of his death, Cliff was serving as Worshipful Master for the third time.

Cliff is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Shelly Green; two sons, Matt and his wife Kathy of Como, TX; Brad and his wife Stephanie of Grand Saline, TX; his cherished granddaughters, Natlie Donaldson, Emma Willis, Olivia Green, and Avery Green; a great-granddaughter, Wrenley Donaldson; his brother, Kenny Green; and two sisters, Joann Chennault and Lisa Green.

A Visitation will be held at New Hope Funeral Home on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Following this, his family will gather to celebrate his life and the many contributions he made to the people he loved and the community he served.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty Green; and his brothers, Johnny and Richard Green.
