James Kirk Feste – “Kirk” September 17, 1960 – April 8, 2015 James “Kirk” Feste was born in El Paso, Texas on September 17, 1960.His father, Robert Feste, Sr., Mother Betty Davis and Step-Father, Jon Davis.He graduated from Coronado High School and attended college at Stephen F. Austin.He and Lori were married in May 1997 and their only daughter, Kayla was born in May 1999. Kirk is survived by his wife Lori and daughter Kayla.Father, Robert Feste, Sr., Mother and Step-Father, Jon & Betty Davis.Siblings:Robert Feste, Jr., Robert Feidner, Todd Feste (Melissa), Shana Feste (Brian Kavanaugh-Jones), Toni Feste and Steve Davis.Uncles:Joseph Feste (Donna) and Andrew Feste (Marion). In-Laws, Richard & Bobby Drury.In addition to the immediate family, he leaves behind a large extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a very loyal and faithful church family. He is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Joseph and Ruby Feste, Maternal Grandparents, Cecil & Tessie Ward and Ralph & Rudelle Davis.Sister-in-law Kathy Feidner.Uncle & Aunt, Bob & Nelda Foster. Kirk was devoted to his family and made them a priority in his life.Kirk made friends with everyone he met.He loved the outdoors, hunting, camping, fishing.His vegetable garden was admired and envied by many.He was a master at his trade and could fix anything.Always quick to tell a joke and anxious to lend a hand.He had a genuine and honest servant’s heart.He volunteered for many years with Addressing Mesquite, helping repair homes for the elderly and disabled.He also spent time serving when needed with his church and Texas Baptist Men.Even when he was fighting his cancer, he was ready and willing to help remodel and repair for friends and family. Kirk’s faith in God carried him through many challenges and years of cancer treatment.He never complained, he never gave up.He will be remembered for his wit, honest, caring, helpful nature.He will be missed dearly but is also celebrated as those who know him, know he will be with our Savior and he will have a wonderful place ready when we all join him.
