James Philip Edwardsen July 6, 1951 – April 3, 2014 James Philip Edwardsen died April 3, 2014 with family by his side in Dallas, Texas.A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 4 at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas at 3:00 pm. James Philip Edwardsen is survived by his wife Melba Jean Pruitt Edwardsen; children:Kelley Elaine Edwardsen MacKay and husband Cameron, Kenney James Edwardsen and wife Misty.Grandchildren:Kristin Elaine MacKay, Cameron Andrew MacKay II “Drew”,Kelsey Renea Edwardsen, Kevin Alan James Edwardsen, Kobey Adler Stephen Edwardsen, Kyle Alexander Nathan Edwardsen.Mother:Laura Cordelia Edwardsen.Brother:Leif Frank Edwardsen, Jr. and sister Elizabeth Edwardsen Johnson and husband Mike, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by father Leif Frank Edwardsen Sr. and brother Charles Elbert Edwardsen. He was born on July 6, 1951 in Elmhurst, Illinois to Leif Frank and Laura Edwardsen.He grew up in Medinah, Illinois and attended The College of DuPage.In 1975 he moved to Texas and soon after met his wife Melba.They married on September 2, 1977.He had a passion for electronics and worked in the industry for over 26 years beginning at Texas Instruments.He took every opportunity to increase his knowledge and skills by taking additional courses and completed his career as a Senior Lead Technician with Sanmina-SCI. Intelligent and confident, he applied his knowledge and determination and gave 100% effort to build or fix anything.He was always available to assist family or friends with anything needed.Living life to the fullest, he enjoyed vacations with family members, and spending every available moment with the grandchildren he adored.
