James Alan Brockway

James Alan Brockway born August 11th, 1959 of Dallas Texas passed away April 28, 2020 at the age of 60. In his younger years he loved racing dirt bikes, and won several championships. He also loved hunting, and fishing with his daughter. He was an avid dog lover. He began his working career at Brockway Bowling Service & Hardwood floors, then proceeded to work in the Texas Oil Fields, later he worked for a Trucking Company. James is survived by his daughter Teah Smiley and son-in-law Timothy Smiley JR. of Van, Texas. Grandchildren Kaylee McCurley and husband Garrett McCurley of Athens, Texas. Gavin Smiley, Allee Smiley, and Kinlee Smiley of Van, Texas. Great granddaughter RayleeLynn McCurley of Athens, Texas. On May 11th 2020 baby Julianne McCurley will arrive. Mother Marie Brockway of Dallas, Texas. Brother David Brockway and wife Arlene Brockway of Chandler, Texas. Sister Susan Perry and husband Dennis Perry of Rockwall, Texas. Many nieces and nephews. Pets Sadie, Lady, Razz, and Zada. He is preceded in death by his father William “Bill” Brockway. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Dallas Humane Society.
