James Adams

James Adams, loving husband and father passed away May 19, 2018 at 80 years of age.He was born October 7, 1937 in Rosebud, Falls County, Texas.He is a graduate from Rosebud, TX High School class of 1956. He married Judy Lehman on June 21, 1960.He was a resident of Mesquite for 56 years and was a founding member and active volunteer of Divine Mercy of Our Lord Catholic Church in Mesquite. He retired from Lone Star Gas/TXU in 1997 after a 37 year career. He loved boating, fishing, gardening and being with his family.He is survived by wife, Judy Adams of Mesquite, TX; sister, Bobbie Baldree of Robinson, TX; daughters, Bridget Johnson and husband Steve of Parker, CO and Sandra Geren and husband Jack of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren, Jeremy Boldt and wife Alisen of Princeton, TX, Clint Boldt and wife Melanie of Garland, TX and Trey Geren of Rockwall, TX; and great grandchildren, Eila and Willow Boldt of Princeton, TX and Sky and River Boldt of Garland, TX.He is preceded in death by parents, Willie and Lera Menefee Adams and son-in-law, Rick Hernandez. Service will be at Divine Mercy of Our Lord Catholic Church, 1585 E. Cartwright Rd., Mesquite, TX 75181 on Friday, May 25th at 10:00 am.Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6PM – 8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Scottish Rite Hospital for Children or Divine Mercy of Our Lord Catholic Church.
