He is preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Nichols, father, AJ Nichols, sisters, Linda Barnett and Theresa Hawley, and brother Buster Hall.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Nichols, son James Nichols Jr., daughter Amber Hyles, daughter-in-law Rebecca Nichols, step children Tonya, Sergio, Jason,4 grandchildren and one on the way, and 7 step-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers AJ Nichols, Brock Haslet, and sisters Ann Nichols, Ronda Lows, Penny McCarthy, and Pam Jones.
