In Loving Memory of Jalen Wayne Washington
September 23, 1997- March 24th, 2025
On March 24th 2025, Jalen Wayne Washington transitioned from this earthly life and gained his wings. He was greeted in heaven by his beloved grandparents, Elver and Doris Calahan Sr., and Ronald Jackson, who preceded him in death.
Jalen leaves behind a loving and devoted family who will cherish his memory forever: his wife, Brittany Washington; his parents Joella and Manny Washington; his cherished grandparents; six aunts and twelve uncles and a host of nieces and nephews, and extended family who lived him dearly. Born on September 23, 1997, in Dallas Tx, Jalen was a bright light to all who knew him. He was a proud graduate of Dr. John D. Horn High School, class of 2017, and a dedicate member of Sunnyvale First Baptist Church, where he found strength and community in his faith.
Jalen's love of life was evident in everything he did, especially in the union he formed with his soulmate, Brittany Washington. They married on December 18th, 2023, beginning a new chapter of love and joy together. Their bond was a testament to Jalen's kind and caring nature.
Jalen had an infectious spirit and a love for making others laugh and smile. He was always the one to bring a smile to everyone around him, lifting spirits with his humor and joy. Whether it was sharing time with family or including his love for video games, Jalen's laughter and light-hearted nature made him a beloved presence in every room.
With his selfless service, Jalen answered a call of duty and enlisted in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer. His commitment to serving his country was just another reflection of his dedication to others and his strong sense of duty.
Jalens unwavering faith, his smile, and his joyful presence will be remembered by all who were blessed to know him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his legacy of love, kindness, and joy will remain with us always.
Rest in peace, Jalen. You will never be forgotten.
