Jackie Ray West

Jackie was born October 23, 1953, in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Samuell High School in 1972. He continued to live in Dallas with his wife Kelly. He was diagnosed with liver cancer in February of 2008 and passed at home on July 2, 2008 with his family and friends by his side. Jackie was a very big Nascar fan, Go Jr, as he would say. He was also a very big Dallas Cowboys fan, especially when Troy was playing. Jackie will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. We will miss him dearly and love him always. Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Betty West. He is survived by his wife, Kelly West; his sister, Cathy Marder; his four children, Christy Berryhill, Misty Walker, Amber Baker, and James Alford; and his eight grandchildren, Austin, Bailey, Tanner, Garrett, Mason, Natalie, Kevin, and Makenzie. Donations may be made to The American Cancer Society in the name of Jackie Ray West. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, July 8 at 2:00 pm at New Hope Funeral Home.
