WILCOX, JR., Jack of Mesquite, born August 28, 1954 in Lamesa, TX. passed away August 11, 2012. Raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated W. T. White in 1972. Met his soul mate in California and have been married for 36 years and raised three beautiful children. He enjoyed playing guitar, cooking, baseball and playing with his three granddaughters. Great man of courage and grace. We called him Poppie. Preceded in death by father, Jack Harmon Wilcox, Sr.; brother, Robin Wilcox. Survived by wife, Wendy Wilcox; children, Cami Wilcox Torberson, Lacee Wilcox Chapman and Taylor Wilcox; grandchildren; Harley Torberson, Bergen Torberson, Riley Wilcox; brothers, Danny Wilcox and Tony Wilcox; mother, Irene Wilcox; nephews, Bent Wilcox, Noah Wilcox, Luke Wilcox, Marco Wilcox; sons-in-law, J. C. Torberson, Justin Chapman; ex-sister-in-law, Christie Wilcox. Jacks favorite scripture: Yet I will not forget you. See I have inscribed you on the palm of my hands. Isaiah 49:156-16a. Over the past twenty months, Jackie inspired all that knew and loved him by his courageous stand. He knew that God had his life in His hands. His wife and family are forever grateful to him for the legacy he left. He showed us how to live and to die with grace and dignity. We love you Poppie. Graveside service will be 11:00AM Wednesday August 15, 2012 at New Hope Memorial Gardens, Sunnyvale, TX.
