Jack R. Hickman

Jack R. Hickman of Mesquite, TX passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the age of 72. Jack was born in Dallas, TX on August 3, 1944.He was preceded in death by his wife Janice K. Hickman; parents Dawson Carroll Hickman and Mary Esther Taliaferro; siblings Sue Nunn, Billy Womack, Jerry Womack and Dawson Carroll Hickman Jr., and daughter Pamela S Hickman. He was united in holy matrimony to his high school sweetheart Janice K. Hodges on February 10, 1962.They were married for 50 years until her passing on July 24, 2012.He was employed for many years by Emery Air Freight, from which he retired in 2002.He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served Honorably in the US Navy until his discharge in May of 1966. His life will forever be cherished by his children; son Jack and daughter-in-law Barbara Hickman of Irving, TX; daughter Cyndi and son-in-law Greg Pierson of St. Paul, TX; son David and daughter-in-law Stacy Hickman of Dallas, TX.He was “Pop” to his 8 grandchildren; Vince Sullins, Bradley Hickman, Andy Sullins, Jeremy Hickman, Joel Pierson, Cory Hickman, Casey Hickman, and Jenna Hickman; and 3 great grandchildren Colin Sullins, Bellah Hickman and Wyatt Robinson. Jack enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
