BRADEN, Jack Davis of Mesquite, passed away to be with the Lord on November 15, 2012. He was retired instructional officer and former principal for the Mesquite Independent School District. He was a deacon for many years and served as Sunday School Worker and teacher in the children's department at Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church as well as other churches. A veteran of WWII, he served in the U. S. Air Force in the Pacific. He was a member of Sons of the American Revolution as well as Kappa Delta Phi and several educational associations. Jack Davis Braden, the son of the late Ben Avery Braden and Evelyn Davis Braden, was born March 14, 1923 in Cropwell, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Marlin Sue Shepard Braden; his parents and brother, William K. Braden. Survivors include daughter, Jill A. Braden of Mesquite; sister, Eva Braden, nephews, Bill Braden, Todd Braden of Sherman, Chris Braden of Ft. Worth and niece, Vanna Braden of Sherman. Graveside service will be 2:00PM Monday November 19, 2012 at New Hope Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 1:00PM - 3:00PM at the funeral home.
