JF Bishop, 84, passed away on February 9, 2022, in Seagoville, TX. He was born on March 11, 1937, in Fairfield, TX, to Floyd Bishop and Dorothy Bishop.
JF married Margie Henley on January 21, 1961, in Gainesville, TX. The couple had 5 children, Jeffery, Charolette, Shelah, Jeannie and Jennifer.
He was best known for making people laugh with funny faces, wiggling his head and ears. JF always stayed busy working in his garage tinkering with his antique cars. When JF and Margie could get away they loved taking camping trip with the kids or trips with some of their best friends.
JF's family moved from Smyr, TX to Gainesville, TX 1954. Where he graduated from Gainesville High School in 1957 and went on to take several college course's thorough out his adult life; putting them all together he would have had an associate in Teaching. However, his career path went a different direction.
He start working in 1956 at Carly Martin's Service Station, leaving there in 1962 and moved to Dallas to worked at Gladiola Biscuit Company. Then in 1965 went to Dallas Transit till 1966. Deciding to change career paths he started working in various machine shops until he lands a position in 1969 with Cooper Industries (formerly Gardner-Denver) in Sunnyvale. In 1985, he found his last place of employment, Northrop Grumman; formerly Ling-Temco-Vought (LTV). An Aerospace and Defense Company, where he worked on the wingspan and tail sections of the B57, Stealth Bomber and Boeing 757. Retiring from there in 1999.
JF is survived by his wife, Margie Bishop of Seagoville, Son - Jeffery Bishop & wife Tina, Daughter - Charlotte White & husband David, Daughter - Shelah Moore & husband Deen, Daughter - Jeannie Fortner & husband Ronnie, Daughter - Jennifer Hutchins & husband Matthew. Brothers - Lonnie Bishop & Charles Wilmer Bishop.
Grandchildren: Christina Lindsey, John Bishop, Heather Jacobs, Lacey White, David James White, Bobby Tilley, Dustin Bishop, Zachery Cryer, Jessica Cerveny, Samantha Lawton, Clayton Amendson, Hailey Morris, Christian Cerveny, Caitlyn McElhany, Dylan Amendson.
Great Grandchildren: Alyssa Bishop, Nathan Bishop, Brennan Bishop, Christian Bishop, Anthony White, Gracie White, Alexis White, Presley White, Michael White, Sarah Lindsey, Lucas White, Braylin Amendson, Athena Cerveny, Trey Morris, Elaina White, Thomas White, Wyatt Morris, Ryder Amendson, Reid Amendson, Evelyn Lawton.
Great-Great Grandchild: Jeremiah Jacobs.
JF is preceded in death by Floyd Bishop - father, Dorothy Bishop - mother, JB Bishop - brother, Floyd Sevirne Bishop - brother, Dorothy Kear - sister, Lacey White - Grandchild, Gabriel White - Grandchild.
Pallbearers: Clayton Amendson, Zachery Cryer, John Bishop, Dustin Bishop, David J. White, Christian Cerveny, Richard Morris, Jeff Lawton, Dylan Amendson.
The service for Mr. JF Bishop will be held on February 19th, 2022, at 10:00 am at New Hope Funeral Home.
Visitation: February 18th, 2022, at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at New Hope Funeral Home.
Burial: Mountain Creek Cemetery, Mountain Creek Cemetery, Saint Jo, Texas.
