Howard W.Conway was born in Dallas Texas on September 24, 1924 to George E. Conway Sr. and Carrie C. Dorman Conway. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior whom he faithfully served for 80 years. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Tommy and George Jr. and his sister Norma Chism.He is survived by his wife of 64 + years Mattie Darby Conway.His daughter Cheryl Crawford and husband Jimmy, and Carol George.4 grandchildren, Justin Sanderson and wife Heather, Andrew Sanderson and wife Misti, Sara Robertson and husband Lawton, and Amanda George.3 great grand children, Lily, Chloe, and Cash.And a host of friends and family. Howard trusted in the Lord at the age of 8, and was baptized at the same time as his father.He was a former member of Bethel Baptist of Whiterock, serving as a deacon, sunday school teacher, and bus ministry chaplain/captain.He surrendered to the ministry in 1965 and pastored Arcadia Park Baptist Church in Dallas from 1966-1971.He is currently a memberof Fellowship Baptist Church in Forney, Texas, having served as a sunday school teacher, elder, board trustee and mentor. Howard has been in the used car business for 55 years and has been semi retired for the last 5 years.While being active in the car business he was the president of the DCIADA, and a board member.He was elected Quality Dealer of the Year in 1993. He served in the Army in WW2, as a medic, in the Pacific theater, and he was very proud of his military service. He loved his God, his family and his country. Memorial service will be held at Fellowship Church of Forney at 2:30PM Saturday 4/19/14. Family will receive friends at Fellowship Church Friday evening from 6PM – 8PM.
