Hines Perry

Sgt. Hines Perry III, was born on August 6, 1964 in Del Rio, Texas and passed away on February 21, 2024 at the age of 59.

Hines spent his childhood in Uvalde, Texas. He graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He then went on to begin his career with the Mesquite Police Department in October of 1987. He retired after serving the city of Mesquite for 34 years.

During those 34 years he established lifelong friendships with whom he enjoyed several hobbies such as golfing and hunting.

Hines is survived by 3 sons that he loved dearly, Aidan Joseph Perry (24), Lucas Neal Perry (21) and Reece Alexander Perry (17); his mother, Rachel Ruiz; brothers, Joseph Ruiz and family, Robert Garcia and family, and Nathan Ruiz and family; sisters, Erika De Hoyos and family, Judith Quiroz and family, and Abby Gallardo and family.
