Hertha May Finger, Mother, Grandmother and best friend, loved by many who knew her best for her unique, award winning dolls and crafts, born June 3, 1920 to Mamie Lee and William Bohler, passed from this life April 2, 2003, in Mesquite, Texas.She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Finger, sons, Michael Hardin and Charles Hardin, grandson, Mitchell Leroy Sweeney, brother, Robert Bohler and sister, Hester Chance.She is survived by 1 daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Larry Sweeney, 1 son, Mitchell Finger and 2 daughters-in-law, Mary Hardin and Jay Hardin; 7 grandchildren and their spouses: Michael David and Stacy Hardin, Charles Edward and Kim Hardin, Cyndi and Ivan Odom, Lori and Robert Overton, and Ashlee Sweeney; 5 Great grandchildren: Amy Hardin, Michael Hardin, Jagger Odom, Jaden Odom and Garrett Overton; sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Al Smith; niece, Margaret Elliott and nephew, Bill Chance. Special family members: Medi Mitchell, Lesa Curnutte, Stephen Harthcock and her life long best friend, Pauline Paul and several other nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, at her request, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or the Gideons in her memory. Memorial service scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2003 at 7:00pm at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Highway 80; Sunnyvale, TX.
