Helen Louise Vogt Womack October 6, 1940-December 17, 2004 Helen was born in Columbia, Missouri on October 6, 1940 to Leo Joseph Vogt and Nola Frieta Schmidt.She was baptized on October 27, 1940, at Trinity Lutheran in Columbia, Missouri.Helen confirmed her faith in Christ at St. Johns Lutheran in Mexico, Missouri on April 11, 1954.She married Willis J. Womack on September 1, 1962.Helen went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 17, 2004. She was a devout Christian who deeply loved her family and friends and she lived her life for the Lord everyday. Helen received her B.A. in English Literature from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1963. She was a Social Worker for the Missouri Division Family Services for 26 years.She was a Private Practice Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 3 years. She received her Lutheran Church Worker Certificate from Concordia University in Mequon, Missouri in 1998 and has faithfully served her church family as Parish Worker for 6 years. Helen lived according to the examples set forth by her Savior and is best known for helping others her entire life. Helen is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Nola Vogt. Helen a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother is survived by her loving and devoted husband Willis of 42 years.Son, Bryan Womack and wife Vicki, grandsons Justin and James; granddaughter Angie; and great-grandson Genesis.Son, Alan Womack and wife Stephanie, grandsons Christopher and Mark.Brothers Floyd Vogt and Lee Roy Vogt. At the close of the funeral service at Tree of Life Lutheran Church in Garland, Texas on Wednesday, December 22, 2004, 64 yellow balloons will be released in celebration of her life here on earth.The Scripture passage attached to each balloon, John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life," is a witness to her eternal life in Heaven. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. There will be a meal served following the service and the family invites everyone to share a meal and fellowship with them.
