Helen May Rice

Helen May Rice passed away at her home in Mesquite on Tuesday, April 9, 2013.She was born on April 3, 1920 in Newmanstown, PA. to the late Dorothy Katterman and Wayne Stump. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, SMSgt. Donald Rice; daughter, Janet Vetter of Dover, DE; brother, Wayne Stump of PA; and granddaughter, Patty Galczynski of Reading, PA. A life-long homemaker, she is survived by four children; Gary and Steven Rice of Mesquite; Ray Donato of Reading, PA; and Gloria Brooks of Cary, NC; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive her. Because her animals gave her so much pleasure, she was a supporter of the SPCA.Therefore, contributions are suggested to the SPCA in lieu of flowers. Visitation will be held from 5PM " 7PM Wednesday April 10, 2013 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. Interment service to be held at 10:15AM Monday April 15, 2013 at DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
