Their only child, Christine, was born in 1965, after they were stationed stateside. Heidrun was the volunteer coordinator for the Army Community Services at Ft. Bragg, NC, while her husband completed his second tour in Vietnam. She worked as an office manager for several companies throughout her career. Phillips. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Ron.

Heidrun loved to bowl and passed on that love to Christine, her grandsons, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed being a member of the Special Forces Chapter XXXI and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 504.

To know Heidrun was to love her. She was a devoted mother, Oma, and Uroma. She was a loyal friend and will be missed by many.
