Harris Gene Britt

Harris Gene Britt, age 73, of Forney, TX, passed away May 19, 2020 at his home. He was born April 4, 1947 in Quinlan, TX to Ben Britt and Goldie Sawyer Britt. Harris was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen Carrell; brother, Maxie Britt and a son, Benjamin Britt. He is survived by his wife Jonora Rose Britt; children, John Bomer and wife Kristina and Amy Phillips and husband Deon; grandchildren, Katie Trotter and husband Gabe, Bryan Bomer and wife Katelyn, Jayln Phillips, Jonas Phillips, Kymberlin Bomer and Kayleigh Bomer; great-grandchildren, Oliver Scott Trotter , Tamzen Arielle Trotter and John Wesley Bomer II; sisters, Patsy Williams, Glenda Candy and Brenda Ingram; sisters-in-law, Kaye Britt and Judith Yoast and husband Allan; brother-in-law, James Maida and wife Pam; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Kaufman County Christian Center, 200 4th St, Kaufman, TX. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2020, also at the church. A family graveside will follow Saturday afternoon at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas.
