Gregory Wiss

Greg Wiss, 63, passed away on November 29, 2023, in Mesquite, TX.

Greg Wiss was born on January 2, 1960 in Kahoka, MO, to Bernard JR Wiss and Ann Wiss.

Greg graduated from high school and went on to college to earn a Master of Business Administration from Northeast Missouri State College. He moved from Missouri to Texas in 1983 where he started his career as a director and worked at Aramark for 22 years.

Greg Wiss was the youngest of 5 siblings, sisters Kathy Welker, Jennifer Riney, Mary Drennan, Teresa McKerrow who he loved dearly.

Traveling with his sisters for a family reunion was always a high point. He was the only boy so naturally him and his brother in laws could always converse about sports and antique items.

Greg met Veronica Denning in 1995 where they fell in love and he inherited two kids Christian and Ashley Denning. They may have been his children but his real joys were his grandchildren. Preston Nelson, Matthew Denning, Haleigh Devaul, Sofia Denning and Alexander Denning. Greg was best known for watching baseball especially his favorite team the Cardinals, and of course spending his time with his family. He is loved by all and will be missed whole heartedly.

Gregory is survived by Veronica Denning - wife, of Mesquite, Ashley Denning - daughter, Christian Denning - son, Emma Denning- Daughter-in-law, Preston Nelson - grandson, Matthew Denning - grandson, Haleigh Devaul - granddaughter, Sofia Denning - granddaughter, Alexander Denning - grandson, Kathy Welker - sister, Stanley Welker- brother-in-law, Stephanie Welker- niece, Amanda Welker-niece, Jennifer Riney - sister, David Riney - brother-in-law, Matthew Riney-nephew, Peter Riney-nephew, Sarah Riney- niece, Rachel Riney- niece, Mary Drennan - sister, Todd Drennan - brother-in-law, Patrick Drennan-nephew, Thomas Drennan- nephew, Teresa McKerrow - sister. Sara McKerrow- niece.

Gregory Wiss service will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Friday, Dec. 8 at 10:00 AM.
