Gregory "Greg" Emehiser

Gregory "Greg" Emehiser, 67, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away on August 5, 2023. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on March 17, 1956, to Floyd and Betty Emehiser. He moved to Texas in 1965 and obtained his GED after being homeschooled. He married Marimarie Mixon on February 22, 1996, and together they raised five children and welcomed thirteen grandchildren.

Greg was a thoughtful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, and spending time with his family and friends. Greg was always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to anyone who needed it. He had a great sense of humor and a warm smile that brightened any room.

Greg was preceded in death by his father and mother, Floyd and Betty; his father and mother-in-law, Clarence, and Georgiana Mixon; his daughter-in-law, Megan Emehiser; his brother-in-law, Butch Mixon; his niece and nephew, Melinda Dixon and Gabe Mixon; and his grandchildren Jayson and Karyn Acker.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Marimarie Emehiser, and his children, Shaun Emehiser, Joshua and Carolina Johnson, Jonathan and Vanessa Johnson, Justin and Aaron Acker, Jacob and Lissette Acker; his furbabies, Boo-bear, Baby-bear, and Harley Bear Jr.; grandchildren Alyssa, Lillian, Marian, Sophia, Natalie Emehiser, Adin and Aria Johnson, Dawson, Haylee, Kaylee and Noah Acker, Lyla, and Jayce Acker; his sister and brother-in-law Nicki Emehiser and Danny Payne; his sister-in-law Margo Mixon; his nieces and nephews Don, Jon and Amie Kilgore, Hillary and Heather Mixon; his great nieces and nephews Mathew, Karly, Don Jr., Jaycee and Jon Jr. Kilgore, Ella, Morgan and Gracie Glossup, Kenedie Jayne, Cheyenne and Oliver Dixon; Owen Dixon.

The viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2023, between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, and the memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2023, beginning 10:00 am at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 US Highway 80 E, Sunnyvale, TX 75182. As a tribute in honor of Greg, donations may be made to the ASPCA.

Greg was a wonderful man who lived a full and happy life. He will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity. Greg will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
