Grace “Cheryl” Spivey-Wharton was born September 13, 1950 in Dallas, TX and went home to be with her Lord, January 30, 2014. Cheryl journeyed through this life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, “Grammie,” aunt and friend. She worked many years in the Mesquite I.S.D. and was currently employed in the Sunnyvale I.S.D. as a teacher’s aide. She was an active member at Landmark FamilyFellowship, Mesquite TX and loved nothing more to be an encourager and friend to everyone she met. Cheryl will remain an example to all through the memory of her devotion to God and family, heart laughter, and most courageous fighting spirit. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Spivey; mother, Martha Spivey; sister, Sandra Spivey andtwin brother, Gerald “Bud” Spivey. She is survived by Husband of 44 years, John Wharton; Son, Leland Wharton and wife, Gena Daughter, Casandra Wharton-Sherrin and husband, Matt; Son, Marcus Wharton; Grandson, Conner Smart; Brother, Terry Spivey and wife, Mildred; Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
