Gloria Jayne Short

Gloria Jayne Gill-Short was born August 4, 1954 and passed away August 17, 2018 from pneumonia and other complications.Gloria was so full of life; feisty, fun, and a very caring individual. She and husband, Glynn Short were a few weeks shy of their 47th wedding anniversary.Gloria was extremely devoted to and loved her husband, Glynn Short with all her heart. She loved, loved her three granddaughters; Jessica, Emily and McKenzie.Gloria is survived by two sons; Jeff Short and Jason Short and Jason's wife, Maria.Also survived by loving in-laws, Mr. Eual C. Short and Mrs. Ina Lou Short.Other family members left to grieve include sisters Linda Dye, Pam Denson, Danise Blissett, cousin/honorary sister Susan Knight and brother-in-law's, Bill McDonough, Lynn Denson and George Blissett. Gloria had a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, too numerous to list, but she loved them all.Also many, many friends will mourn her passing. Preceding Gloria in death were her maternal and paternal grandparents, two sisters; Cherie McDonough and Jeanne Marie Davtchev, loving parents, George and Jean Gill, biological mother Dorothy J. Villalobos, brother-in-law Jim Dye and nephew, Lee Dye.Gloria lover her time and friendships when working at Continental Insurance, CSI Insurance and the Dallas Arboretum, where she recently retired.Glynn had recently retired and they were looking forward to more time with each other as well as their precious granddaughters.They were members of Bethany Baptist Church in Dallas.Words cannot explain how much she meant to all of us.We all loved her so much. Her good humor and laughter was so contagious and will be sorely missed. Heaven has gained a sweet and goofy Angel.
