Glenn Carl Hopkins was born September 23, 1937 in Dallas, TX to Carl and Zoe Hopkins. He passed away I Mesquite, TX on August 30, 2021 from Alzheimer’s. He is proceeded in death by his parents Carl and Zoe, and his beloved Son Gary Ray Hopkins. Glenn met Wilma Jean Bogue at Forest Avenue High School and they married in 1955. He is survived by his loving wife Wilma Hopkins of Mesquite, TX, Daughter Jo Ann Findi and husband Eric of Rockwall, TX, Son Steven Hopkins and wife Audrey of Rockwall, TX, and Daughter Robin Ezzell and Husband Ehren of Austin, TX. Along with close cousin Danny Joe Simmons and Daughter-In-Law Glenda Hopkins of Mesquite,TX. Sisters: Shirley Martin of Terrell, TX and Helen Mayer of Mesquite, TX. Several nieces and nephews. Glenn has 7 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. Glenn was one of a kind, he may not have asked you how you were doing, BUT he would ask you if you knew the final score on the Cowboys game, with a punchline of “dang – I lost it by ½ a point” Glenn loved black and white Western movies and John Wayne movies. His favorite sports team was the Dallas Cowboys and coach Tom Landry. Private Graveside will be at New Hope Memorial Gardens.
