Glenmore Anthony Marshall December 27, 1959 " June 18, 2012 Sunrise, in the eastern sky, on December 27, 1959, unfolded a bundle of joy in the person of Glenmore Anthony Marshall to his parents Merlyn Henry and Albert Marshall. He attended All Saints Elementary and Denham Town High, the next rung of his academic climb took him to the Ambassador and Chester Vale Community Colleges, in Saint Andrew, Jamaica. Reaching down into his industrious capability, he indulged himself into the knowledge of technical skills by obtaining vocational training and his advance in computer skills was self taught.Glens technical development after vocational school, turned into profitable practice at Appliance Traders Company Limited in Kingston, Jamaica, where he was employed as a junior technician. In the mix of vocation and affection sprang his attention to Charmain Irving. While his adventurous clarion was preparing to beckon, their fertile intertwine began to set in motion grounds for a full fledge garden of several flowery species. Then came the early 90s with his travel surge. Be it ironical or providential, their Kingston, Jamaica residence was substituted for Jamaica, Queens, New York. Glen and Charmains relationship blossomed into matrimonial connection and the product of their bonding resulted in the now existence of four lovely immediate siblings with an extension that is no less a part of their knitted bunch. Glens 17 year residency in the New York area was enhanced by his continued technical vocational path. Besides his technical abilities, there was an artistic side to him that was often displayed in his creativity with art-word and portraits. Photography had been his passionate pass-time. Also, he found great pleasure in extending the joyful sound of praises to God in both vocal and instrumental music. More important to him though was his efforts to keep connected to his Christian values and family virtues. In September, 2005, along with his daughter Moesha who took her stand to walkthe Christian pathway, he renewed his vows with the Lord at the Jamaica Seventh-day Adventist Church, in Queens, New York. Since then, his motto has been: As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord Joshua 24:15. In December, 2008, he and his family relocated to the North Dallas area. Change, while often represents growth, do come with its challenges and the transitioning process at times do tend to present longer than anticipated pause. The Marshall Family has experienced such encounter first hand. After over three years of grey skies, the hanging clouds of difficulties seemed to be finally giving way to rays of the stability they so much anticipated. Their congregational search stopped at the Garland SDA Faith Community Church in 2011 after transferring from the Casalita SDA Church Brother Glen immediately engaged his musical talent with the Garland Faith Chorale. Their two young daughters blended in nicely with their peers and became involved in the singing sessions of Sabbath evenings youth programs and other related activities. In January, 2012 he obtained a steady part-time position at DFW Airport, with potential for full-time status. Glen was almost always never seen without his wife and children"especially Angel and Moesha. Seated together in church, they were like a glue of love sealed forever. A man of few words, yet with much depth and sincerity. In both the up-times and the down-times of this his mortal excursion, he remained calm, cool and reserved. On June 18, 2012, not many hours from sunrise, yet before the heat of the day, on reaching the junction where he must empty the contents of his mortal package, Glenmore Anthony Marshall indicated: It is finished. I have carried my package with patience and I will linger not here, lest I fail to ride the white clouds of glory in that great getting up morning. Tell my loved ones, it is sunset for me today. But weep not. Just be prepared that we will all meet on the other side where there will be no parting again. Glen is survived by: his parents, wife Charmain; sons Glenmore Marshall, Jr. and Odeen Grant (step son); daughters Marsha-Lee (Moya) Moesha and Mariah (Angel); four grand children: Chasidy, Kiana, Paris and Zene; brother Patrick, sisters Marjorie and Nadine, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives, associates and friends. Is this the end? I know it cannot be. Our ships shall sail upon another sea; new islands yet shall break upon our sight, new continents of love truth and might. J. W. Chadwick.
