Glenda Baker

November 11, 1947 — January 29, 2025

Glenda Nell Baker, born on November 11, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, was received in the arms of Jesus on January 29, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. Glenda was a vibrant soul, known for her passion for reading, her love of cooking, & her incredible talent for decorating for every holiday. She had the unique ability to create warmth and joy in her home, making every gathering feel special and memorable. Glenda was a very Godly woman.

Glenda is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Baker, and their daughter Heather Balusek with husband Shawn Balusek. Along with her granddaughters Emily Balusek & Hannah Balusek with great grand daughter Arianna Balusek. She is also survived by her son, David Baker and grandson Zachary Baker with great-granddaughter Zaylee Baker. The love she shared with her family was unparalleled, and her playful spirit and kindness will be eternally remembered.

A celebration of her life will take place on February 4, 2025, at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. The funeral service will commence at 2:00 PM. The service will also be Livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person. Following the service, Glenda will be laid to rest at Mesquite City Cemetery at 3:30 PM.

Glenda will be remembered for her kind spirit and the countless cherished moments shared with loved ones. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents: Leon Wilson & Mary Wilson. Siblings: Louise Paris with husband Walter Paris, Jean Morris, Morris Wilson, Kathy Mitchell with husband Gary Mitchell.
