Gilbert C. Moore 1943 – 2018 Gilbert Crouch Moore of Garland was born September 18, 1943,in McKinney, Texas,and passed away April 1, 2018. Gil was preceded in death by his parents Thomas William Moore and Jewell Janice Cooley, brother Tom Moore, daughter Cheryl Ann Moore and granddaughter Sarah Renee Gardner. He is survived by daughters Christine Holmberg and husband Mike, and daughter Holly Gardner; grandchildren Aaron Holmberg, Tim Holmberg, Amber Holmes and husband Jacob, and Kenneth Gardner; numerous great grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends. He was a retired mechanical engineer and a loving father, husband, grandpa and great grandpa and was loved by everyone who knew him.Gil was a graduate of Bryan Adams High School (1962) and proudly served in the US Air Force.Active in the Outlaw Fuel Altereds racing community, Gil served as a crew member of both “Toxic” and “High Octane”.Riding motorcycles, traveling, going to the music show in Farmersville, putting together the monthly BA luncheons and spending time with his family and friends were all things he loved.Gil was an elected member for the Trails Home Owners Association. He served as President of the Recreation Board, and was proud and very involved taking care of the pool, clubhouse and tennis court areas Per his request, there will not be a funeral or memorial service A celebration of life gathering is planned for Sunday, May 20th, 2018 at 3pm.It is going to be located at the Trails Clubhouse, 725 Trails Parkway, Garland, TX 75043.The family wishes to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mark-9 Search & Rescue, Wounded Warrior Project, or TX Parks and Wildlife.
