Gertrude Stone

Born January 24, 1917 in Clarke County Arkansas; passed away October 14, 2005 in Terrell, TX. Preceeded in death by her parents: Richard "Dick" and Gracie Franklin; husbands; William Eugene Smith and James C. Stone; son: Gaylen Michael Hammonds & brother, Jessie Franklin. She is survived by her son Richard H. Hammonds and wife Joyce; daughter-in-law, Vicki Hammonds; grandchildren; Brenda Hammonds Cardwell, Carrie Hammonds Gron and husband, Rene Gron, Randy Hammonds, Julia Hammonds Sirmans and husband, Raymond; Latricia Cawthron and husband Ron,and Jeff Hammonds. Also survived by nine great grandchildren; Alyssia Trimble, Randall Hammonds, Jodie Kocher, Nicole Hammonds, Ryan Hammonds, Ricky Sirmans, Craig Cawthron, Joshua Hammonds, Zachary Hammonds and six great great grandchildren; Tyler, Megan, Morgan and Jacob Kocher; Alyssa and Courtney Hammonds. She loved fishing, gospel singings, cooking, camping and gardening. Graveside Services will be held 3:00PM Tuesday October 18, 2005 at the Long Creek Cemetery in Sunnyvale, TX. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening, October 17th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
