Gertrude Henney

HENNEY, Gertrude (Trudy) Laurene, resident of Forney, TX. for 4 years, previously a resident of Mesquite TX. for 8 years.Prior to that she lived in Desert Hot Springs, CA.Born March 14, 1918 in Denison Iowa, fell asleep in Christ on May 16, 2006 in Mesquite, TX. Parents were William Henry Paulsen and Eunice Laurene Smith.Preceeded in death by husband of 46 years, George, and son, Michael and daughter, Evily.Also predeceased by granddaughter, Rhonda Stuart and brothers, Eugene and Dean Paulsen. She was a member of Our Lady of Walsingham Orthodox Catholic Church in Mesquite, and had been the church organist for a number of years. She is survived by daughter, Bea Ann Duckworth and husband, Jim of Forney; grandchildren, Chad, Michael and Brian Duckworth, and Laurene Crow; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by sister, Dorothy Hanson of Lakewood, California. Service will be 10:30AM Saturday May 20, 2006 at Grace Episcopal Church, 2650 E. Scyene Rd., Mesquite, TX. 75181, with Father Dan Keller & Father Michael Hull officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Interment will be in Long Creek Cemetery in Sunnyvale,TX.
