Geraldine Prichard was born in Hood County, Texas to Forrest and Ethel Meyer on January 29, 1926. She passed away on February 12, 2010 in Mesquite, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Hoyal Prichard and her parents, Forrest and Ethel Lee Meyer and brothers, Tommy, Bobby and Kenneth Meyer. Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Anita Stone and husband Earnest and grandchildren, James Stone and wife Jeannie and Neil Stone and a great granddaughter, Julia Stone, all of Mesquite. Also survived by sister, Ann Prickett and numerous nieces and nephews. She graduated from Granbury High School and she later earned her realtor license from Mountain View College and worked a time for Judge Fite Realtors in Oak Cliff. In 1977, after Hoyal's death, Gerri (as many friends called her) moved to Mesquite to be near her family. She was active in Senior Citizens for several years serving as an officer. She also loved being a helping hand to people and friends in her neighborhood and church. She retired from Sears Roebuck in 1986 and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church on Pioneer Road in Mesquite for over 30 years.
