Numerous great grandchildern Numerous dear friends George was a dear and dedicated husband and father. He was a kind man with an accepting heart, and accomplished a great deal while on this earth. He was born in Basra, Iraq in 1927 and immigrated to the United States to attend Hope College where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry. While there, he met his wife of 63 years, Nancy. They wed in 1950 and began their family in 1951. In 1952, he and his family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he attended Tulsa University and earned a Masters Degree in Petroleum Engineering. George had a productive career and finally retired in 1997. He was a loyal and loving family man as well as tough and stern. He distilled a strong sense of duty and right and wrong in his children and had a deep faith in God. We loved him dearly.
