George "Nicky" Nichols

George "Nicky" Edward Nichols, Jr. of Forney, born February 2, 1960. Grew up in Forney his whole life and graduated from Forney High School in 1978.Worked for Master Heating & Air for 11 years and Texas Dept of Transportation for 16 years.He served on the Forney Volunteer Fire Dept for several years. The Nichols family was the only family to have three generations of firemen on the volunteer Fire Dept. He proudly followed his father and grandfather.Nicky was always the life of the party.He had an award winning personality and never met a stranger.Even through his illness he never lost his sense of humor and kept his nurses on their toes. Even if he wasn't their patient that day they always had to come say Hi and get a good laugh from him. He loved his family more life itself, especially his kids and granddaughters.He was so proud of those little girls.His face just lit up when they walked in the room. He was loved by so many friends and will be missed greatly. Preceded in death by step-father, Cleave Brooks. Survived by children, Nicole Prewitt and Natasha Nichols; grandchildren, Jordan and Mallory Prewitt; father, George E. Nichols, Sr. and wife, Ann; mother, Fern Brooks; sister, Terri Shepard; step-brother, Andy Fitch; step-sisters; Tricia Dempsey and Beth Stone; nephews, Trent Nichols and Chisolm Shephard. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00PM - 7:00PM. Service will be 2:00PM Thursday June 2, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Forney, 1003 College St., Forney, TX.. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Forney, TX.
