George Garrison

Garrison, George Leonard, Born May 20,1929, Gadsden, Alabama to William Frederick and Rosie Lassiter Garrison, passed away Wednesday July 14 in Mesquite, Tx. Mr. Garrison served 8 years in the navy plus several years in the navy reserve. Mr. Garrison is survived by two sons and a daughter. Son Michael Eugene Garrison and wife Debbie and granddaughter Kristen Garrison, and daughter Leanne Garrison, and son Paul Edward Garrison. Also survived by two sisters, Hazel Hill and Dorothy McClendon of Gadsden, Alabama, and a brother Freddie Lamar Garrison of Gadsden, Alabama. His passing reunites him with a sister, Lilly Garrison, and two brothers, James Garrison, and Troy Garrison of Gadsden, Alabama. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his friend and ex wife Dorothy Sheftall Garrison of Mesquite, Tx. Mr. Garrison passed away after a short illness. He moved to Mesquite in 1992. He worked for General Electric in Tyler, Tx. and Schlitz Brewery in Longview, Tx., and ended his career working for a short time at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala. and at the University of Texas in Tyler, Tx.
