George Edward Lee born February 7, 1930 in Littlefied, Texas to Lola Carender and George Edward, Sr. died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at home in Mesquite, Texas. George married Linda Ragland in 1956 and had four children: George Richard, Mikal Shane, Lia Gelin and Jack Hardy. After serving four years in the Air Force, he attended and graduated from North Texas State College. After graduation, he moved to Dallas and worked for the Federal Reserve Bank until retirement. George was preceded in death by his dad, George Edward Sr; mom, Lola Carender; brother, Harold; sisters, Martha Ann and Billie Sue. Survivors include wife, Ramona Kirby; brother, James Carender and wife, Doris; sister, Wanda Sanford and husband, Gerald; son, Richard and wife, Monica; son, Mikal Shane and wife, Pat; daughter, Lia Gelin; son, Jack Hardy and wife, Cathy; grandchildren, Sal, Priscilla, Austin, Mason, Cera, Haley and Joshua; step-daughter, Debbye and husband, Steve; step-daughter, Linda and husband, John; step-son, Neil and wife, Jennifer; along with many other family members, step-grandchildren and other relatives through marriage. Visitation and Funeral Services will both be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Colonial Baptist Church, 6459 Scyene Rd, Dallas, TX 75227.
