SELDEN, Geneva Ward, 85, died on Monday, October 16 in a care facility in McKinney, Texas after a long illness. Geneva was born April 23, 1921 in Munday, Texas to Eunice Harlan Hazelwood and Frank Hazelwood.She attended school in Slaton, Texas.She was a member of First Baptist Church in Slaton, where she was a member of the choir and a soloist.Geneva married Morris Ward on December 24, 1937.They were parents of three children.She was employed by Southwestern Public Service in Slaton and was manager of Southwestern Public Service Reddy Monterey in Lubbock. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Morris in 1949.She married Lee Selden on December 31, 1959.They resided in Lubbock until 1987 when they moved to Clyde, Texas. Survivors include her husband, Lee Selden; two daughters, Mickye Ward Adams and her husband, Les; Nita Ward Bagby and her husband, Ron; son, Gary Ward and his wife, Robbie; eight grandchildren, Shannon Todd, Bradley Adams, Jill Vuckovich, Stacy Trowbridge, Craig Bagby, Debbie Derryberry, Roger Ward and Tracy Ward; fourteen great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held 11:00AM Friday, October 20, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Slaton.
