Gene Edwin Isbell

ISBELL, Gene Edwin of Balch Springs, born March 14, 1940 in Anna, TX, passed away on July 18, 2013. His father was George Walter Isbell and his mother was Estelle Rena Smith.He had 4 siblings, Thomas William Isbell, George W. Isbell, Jr. (AKA Ham), Ivone Marie Holt, Jimmy Lee Isbell. Gene was survived by wife of 50 plus years, Doris Elaine Isbell; children, Richard Isbell & daughter, Terri Hall; grandchildren, Kali Dowdey, Brooke Bailey, Branndon Isbell; 3 great grandchildren, Kyndal Dowdey, Aiden Dorsett, Ali Dorsett. Gene was a wonderful provided and hard worker.He and his wife owned a motorcycle shop for 30 years; Isbell Cycle. He was very loyal to his family, friends and customers.Gene was always known as the jokester; he always had a smile on his face and was always laughing.Gene did nothing more than help ones in need and did nothing more than be a great husband, father, grandfather, brother & friend.Everyone that knew him loved him.Gene loved to go fishing and going to the deer lease to hunt; he loved to work and ridge motorcycles and go antiquing with his wife, Doris.Gene will be missed like no other. The funny thing about Gene, it didnt matter how big anyone was he always hugged you and always let you know how much he loved and appreciated you. We love him very much; we all feel he touched everyone he came in contact with; he can rest in peace.
