Gary Racine Jackson, left us on March 31st 2016. He passed away at the age of 60 years in Mesquite, TX. Gary was born on July 21st 1955, in Dallas County, to Leon Andrew Jackson and Esther Marie Culpepper. Gary was raised most of his life around Dallas, where he attended Comstock Middle School, and Spruce High School in Pleasant Grove. Gary grew up going to church most of his young life with his mother “Esther”, where he loved to sing along with the band. By the time he was a teenager he fell in Love with Elvis Presley and his real love for singing began. Gary continued singing in church as much as he could until he passed away. He would always sing a special song at church and it was usually an Elvis Gospel song that had its way of moving hearts. He certainly had a talent and a calling. Gary met his one true love “Melissa” when he was only 16. He would do just about anything to be able to have the chance to see her. Even if it meant, “catching rides from the old ladies” in the church it didn’t matter he would be sure to get there. “He had to see her” He would tell us growing up. They fell in love with each other and were married at a young age in 1972. They started and raised their family in Mesquite, TX where they lived, laughed and loved as much as they could while raising their family! “Their little family” is all they cared about having in life! Gary and Melissa were married for 34 years when Melissa passed away. Gary never got over losing his one true love and yearned for the day they would meet again. So, on March, 31st 2016 was their day of reunion. The day he so longed for!
