Gary Haines Hoover

Gary H. Hoover, 76, of Mesquite,TX, passed away on September 1st, 2016. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, September 6th at First Baptist Church of Forney, 1003 College St., Forney, TX 75126. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 7th at First Baptist Church of Forney with the Rev. Jerry Griffin officiating. Gary was born in Wichita, Kansas to Jacob and Margaret Hoover on March 19th, 1940.He went to school at North High in Wichita. He was a veteran and served in the Navy from 1958 until 1962. He married Evelyn Feagin on June 13th, 1970 in Forney, TX. He worked as an electrician for 20 years. He was involved in The Lone Star Miniature Schnauzer Club of Dallas and enjoyed Texas A&M football until his death. Anyone who knew Gary knew of his devotion to Texas A&M University. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Margaret, and his brother, Michael. Gary is survived by his wife Evelyn, son Stephen and his brother’s family, Ronald & Carolyn Hoover. Memorials may be given to Texas A&M 12th Man Foundation.
