Frederick Daniel Hamilton passed from this life into the arms of the Lord on June 9, 2021. He was an accomplished student, graduating valedictorian in 1964 from Center High School in Colorado, before attending S.M.U. in Dallas where he earned degrees in math, physics, and bio-physics. He then attended Officer Candidate School, serving 4 years in the U.S. Navy, rising to the rank of Lieutenant. After discharge, he obtained his law degree from U.T. Austin, graduating near the top of his class. This led him to Houston to work at Vinson Elkins, later moving to Dallas to work with Munck Davis, then Chalker Flores.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Bill M. Hamilton and Mildred Kivlehen Hamilton, formerly of Sunnyvale, Tx. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Esther, and their devoted nephew Eddie Cantu. He is also survived by his sister Marla Hamilton Webster McGowan (Gary), and brother, Mark Hamilton (Betsy), along with his nieces and nephews Blake Webster (Jenny), Brooke Hudson (Shane), Rebecca Hand (Sam), Matt Hamilton (Madeline), Scott Hamilton (Daniele), David Hamilton (Liz), plus 16 grand-nieces and nephews. Fred will be interred at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Tx, with a memorial service at 3:30 pm on Friday, June 18, 2021.
