Fred Tinsley

TINSLEY, Fred A. of Ferris, born August 20, 1927, passed away December 14, 2005. He was a loving and dedicated man with his family.He loved camping, fishing and auto racing.He raced from 1956 to 1965 and then after the death of his wife, started helping and owning race cars that I drove. Even at 73 years young, he would work countless hours for the love of competing and the togetherness we had doing this as a family.He never met a stranger and had so many friends through the years.He will be greatly missed by our family, but he and our mother are together again, because she is the love of his life, and they are together with no pain with Jesus. Survived by children, Marion Cathy Newsome & husband, Oscar Gene Newsome, Floyd Allen Tinsley & wife, Angela Hope Tinsley; 2 granddaughters, Stephanie Williamson, Belinda Self; grandsons, Shelton Tinsley, Jeff Tinsley; 2 step-grandchildren, Josh Dildy, Jeremy Dildy and great grandchild, Jimmy Williamson; 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Services will be 7:00PM Friday December 16, 2005 @ New Hope Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00PM - 7:00PM.
